Microsoft Edge Testing Built-In Ethereum Crypto Wallet, Screenshots Show

Microsoft is reportedly testing a non-custodial Ethereum-based Web3 wallet for its Edge browser. Screenshots shared on Twitter by Microsoft sleuth Albacore show the wallet is in limited testing and allows users to send and receive digital assets and NFTs. The wallet generates an Ethereum address that allows users to receive funds through the Ethereum network, while the swap feature is reportedly supported by Ethereum, DAI, UNI, USDC and USDT. It is not yet known if Microsoft will support other digital assets in the future. The move follows the shutdown of its metaverse unit in February, after creating a team tasked with building industrial networks.
